Shanga Parker, Associate Professor, UW School of Drama is providing one-on-one training in Suzuki Method and in developing and enhancing the actor's singing and speaking voice. The goal is to assist the actor in being able to make a full, rich, clear sound while s/he is under physical distress. The result is a strong, focused performance in every situation. Open to everyone. No prior experience necessary.

The workshop is a combination of physical and vocal work. It is designed for all levels of participants of Suzuki Method training and of vocal (singing) experience.
Shanga Parker has been practicing and teaching the Suzuki Method for over 20 years and has taught it in the PATP (Graduate acting program) at the University of Washington. He has been on faculty for 13 years in the School of Drama at the UW teaching acting, directing, playwriting and movement. He won a Distinguished Teaching Award in 2006.

This is a 4-week workshop- brief, intense and very hands-on.
